This Event is part of Munich Climate Week 2026

Munich Climate Week is a city-wide, community-powered initiative taking place October 19-25. Over one week, MCW offers diverse events across Munich, enabling practitioners, scientists, politicians, the private sector and the public to connect and exchange ideas. MCW will accelerate climate solutions in Munich and make climate action visible, accessible, and actionable.

The Format

We want to showcase the power of entrepreneurship and startups to tackle the climate crisis, and make it exciting, accessible, and fun.

Who it’s for

Climate Pitch is for anyone curious about the people and ideas shaping a more sustainable future. We bring together startups, investors, students, media and Munich’s wider climate and startup community.

The setup

We’ve selected four key climate categories, Clean Energy Food Water Circularity, with two promising startups competing in each. After their 3-minute pitches, the audience gets play money* to invest in the startup they believe has the greatest potential.

* The play money used at the Climate Impact Pitch is purely fictitious and serves exclusively as a simulation. It does not create any legal obligation – neither for investors nor for the presenting startups – to make an actual investment or any other financial commitment.

The finale

At the end of the night, we’ll crown a winner in each category.

The selection process for the Climate Startup Pitch Battle, taking place on October 21, 2026, will be conducted by the investment teams of all participating host VCs. Applications will be evaluated based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative criteria.

We will notify you by Friday, October 9, 2026, whether your impact startup has been selected to participate in the Climate Startup Pitch Battle.
